1965 Chevrolet Corvette C2 Stingray Restomod 350 V8 Tremec 5-Speed Manual. Finished in factory Rally Red with a contrasting black leather interior, this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette C2 Stingray combines the timeless styling of Chevrolet’s iconic mid-year Corvette with a number of carefully considered upgrades to improve its performance, reliability and usability. Sitting on bespoke EVOD two-piece billet turbine wheels, manufactured specifically for the car, it retains its classic appearance whilst benefiting from more modern engineering throughout.
Under the bonnet sits a Chevrolet Performance 350 V8 crate engine producing approximately 375bhp, paired with a Tremec TKO-500 five-speed manual gearbox. The engine benefits from Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, offering improved drivability, reliability and easy cold starting whilst maintaining a clean, period-inspired engine bay.
The drivetrain has been further enhanced with a professionally rebuilt 3. 70:1 limited-slip differential and custom propshaft, whilst additional upgrades include power-assisted rack and pinion steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, Bilstein dampers, an aluminium radiator, upgraded alternator and a stainless steel Magnaflow dual exhaust system.
Finished in factory Rally Red, the body presents beautifully with excellent panel fit, deep paintwork and bright chrome throughout. The bespoke EVOD billet wheels complement the car perfectly, adding a subtle contemporary touch without detracting from the original C2 styling.
Inside, the cabin retains its classic feel with factory instrumentation, original dashboard and centre console, complemented by black leather bucket seats. The Tremec gear lever sits neatly within the original console, preserving the period appearance whilst offering the benefit of a modern five-speed transmission.
Accompanying the Corvette is an excellent history file containing a substantial collection of invoices documenting the build and ongoing maintenance, including the engine, Tremec gearbox conversion, Holley Sniper EFI, rack and pinion steering, rebuilt differential and many other upgrades. Also included are the original owner’s handbook, original sales brochure and supporting documentation.
