Description
A tidy and corrosion free series one, 80-inch wheelbase Land Rover with modifications.
We are selling this car on behalf of a customer.
About of this car
Our example was registered new in the UK on 07/ 10/ 1952 and has had just 4 former keepers.
Not much is known of the history of this vehicle, beyond an old Cornwall Rover club badge and some expired tax discs linking the car to the Lydd area. In the past our car has been equipped with a later, 1960s Land Rover 2. 2 litre diesel engine, power steering, and some lighting enhancements; modern seating with headrests are fitted, as are seat belts and security features.
For serious off road usage, our car has an electric winch (functioning) and is supplied with an array of off road paraphernalia including ropes, jacks, shovel, fire extinguisher. In addition there are some spare parts and tools supplied with this Land Rover.
The odometer reads 99178 miles, which is unwarranted.
Bodywork
Smart and very clean finished in the iconic green, importantly with a rust free chassis. A canvas hood is fitted which is in good condition.
Mechanicals
Our car is fitted with a later Land Rover diesel engine. Our car starts, drives and stops well with £1300 having been spent with a specialist in May 2026 on servicing, brake and exhaust repairs (receipt on file).
Summary
Be quick at this price as this is the cheapest usable series one on the market, and provides a canvas for continued enjoyment as is, or further enhancement, maybe with V8 power?
