This a great project, easy to build from half a sheet of plywood or MDF using a Kitchen Swing Bin for the bodyshell!
There is no welding or wiring and the whole construction uses simple off-the-shelf parts you can find in your local hardware store.
We can supply any parts you can't find. For those in a hurry we can supply everything as a complete kit of mechanical parts wheels etc for just £120.

The body tub is made from just 5 pieces of MDF or plywood and the paper templates enable you to accurately cut out the required shapes and drill all the holes ready for assembly
These are not hard to read plans but full size paper cutting templates (like heavy duty dress making patterns)
Paste them on the wood and cut out the 5 shapes using a jigsaw, drill the holes where shown and assemble the body tub in minutes!
The whole body shell including the boot is made from a kitchen Swing bin! They are robust and available in 5 high gloss colours

These cars are suitable for kids from 18 months up to about four years old.
SINGLE FOOT PEDAL OPERATION
A bicycle brake cable connect a wooden flap accelerator pedal to a hinge that works the drill trigger.
The drill provides both graduated acceleration and automatic braking. When the foot is lifted the car stops as thhe wheel cannot turn against the chuck gearing.
Speed is around 6mph or 3mph (using the drill's half speed setting)

No heavy battery needed-just the drill's battery power pack..
Duration is around 40 mins continuous use easily extended with a spare charged power pack carried in the 'boot'.
