1955 Morris Oxford in outstanding show condition and superbly restored. Highly detailed engine bay. Beautiful chassis and bright work. The interior is superb and has a working heater and a working period radio with valves that are sighted in the engine bay.
The engine is a 1622cc Morris B series and will keep up with modern traffic conditions. The engine will start first time and the oil pressure on the gauge indicates 50 ppsi.
The Oxford is fitted with a full purpose made stainless steel exhaust system with a fish tail to the rear. The semaphore trafficators are in full working order and flashing indicators are also fitted for extra safety. The doors and boot and bonnet close perfectly and a metal sun visor is fitted for added authenticity. The interior of the Oxford is superb with original seats in very good order and recent carpets . Two working period spot lights and badges are fitted to a chrome bar at the front of the car. Good tyres are fitted to the car with added white wall for the perfect 50s look. A full service was given to the car at the end of the 2011 season and the Morris has always been garaged over the winter.
The Oxford as won many prizes from 2006 at major shows in the North including Tatton Park Best 50s car all the way to last season 2011 When the Oxford won three firsts. The last one was The Presidents Choice overall winner at Renishaw Hall with over 300 entrants. All Trophies will remain with the car and will be passed on to the new owner. The Oxford will come with some spares including brand new electronic fuel pump and a new tyre.
The Oxford must be in my opinion one of the best if not the very best examples of the early models remaining in this country today and is ready to win at shows this season.
Genuine reason for the sale of my car. I am near to the completion of a five year restoration of a pre war car and and wish to give all my time and effort to my newly restored car.
