This is one of the saddest days of my life as it has come the time when I feel I must sell my beloved absolutely stunning 1966 Pontiac. If you have been to any American car shows over the past 8 years or so you may have seen my car and would of probably been willing to have sold your soul to the devil to own it, well now is your chance. This car is a very dark night watch blue with blue interior. It has a 400ci (6. 6) engine that has just had a bottom end rebuild. It has won many awards over the 8 years I have owned it and has been in many magazines and was a cover star car on Classic American and also on there calender. Over the years I have run this car with a 66 tri power carb set up and it now has an 800cfm quadrajet on. The tri set up is available to the winning bidder at a separate price should you wish to buy this but it does need a rebuild and a new inlet manifold as mine got dropped :-(. Anyway for those that know a quadrajet is just as powerful if not more so with tuning than a tri and it is also a lot easier to run the car on gas be it Nitrous oxide : ) or LPG : ( should you wish to convert to save on the ever increasing fuel costs. The car has ceramic coated headers, a line lock, a near new MOT, air pressure shocks at the rear, a auto gearbox, and a full compliment of period Stewart Warner gauges. This car also has very dark tinted windows and near new 15” Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires on 8” rally wheels with spinner type centre caps. The engine bay is nicely detailed and the whole car is just stunning to look at without being too in your face as some are. Really I would want any potential buyers to come and view it. This car is not a trailer queen and does have a few small bubbles near the bottom in some areas but nothing major and in the time I have owned it have not got any worse as its always kept in a dry garage so have never seen the need to get done. It had a new MOT around 3 months ago and in all the MOTs it has had has never failed on anything at any time. This car has been likened to the XXX car but I had mine quite some time before that film came out. This is not really a everyday car but it does return around 25 on a long run and has run in the 13’s on the few times I have been down the track. It would probably not be the easiest first time American car for someone who has not any mechanical skills but was my first American and as you may see on my Photo bucket site I now have a few more but sadly a long way off from being as nice as this car. This car is tax free and insured quite reasonably on classic car insurance. At that time I felt I had to withdraw it as I had viewings at the NEC car show I was doing with it but it sadly got slightly damaged on the set up day when the stand collapsed on it :(. If you were there then you may remember it had a magic mop placed strategically over the damage boot all of the show weekend and I was the very sad looking owner who sadly did not enjoy the show after that. Anyway after I got it fixed I thought I might as well keep it for another year : ) anyway if you saw it then you will know it was high into the teens when I withdrew it so now with American prices slightly down you may well get a bargain. I am sure it will not be long before muscle cars start to shoot up again out of most peoples reach so buy now at this reduced price and get one hell of a car. Some people like to clone these in to gtos but for me this is just perfect to look at and go’s far better than most gtos do. Hopefully you can see it and have a test drive if you are very interested.
