First Owner JJ Levesley at Ivy Garage Possible Demonstrator?
22-01-1962 Richard William Geary Radley Herts. Purchased the car.
06-08-1965 A Mr XXXX Purchased the car.
He owned the car until 2002 when he passed it on to his daughter
He died in 2005 and had owned the car for 37 Years!
He was a trained Engineer and carried out his own maintenance. He went on to become a Police driver in London and hence the radio was disconnected and mirrors were fitted to enable better driving.
He only drove Jaguars for the Police.
He had the car repainted soon after purchase in August 1965, as he preferred Blue to the original Grey.
He and his wife had seven children hence the need for a large car!
Mr. XXXXXXX also had fitted Overdrive, which was not specified originally.
It is believed he rebuilt the Engine and clutch in 1971
The car was always kept in a garage
In 1980 the car went into dry storage for some 10 years or so.
The above information came from his daughter who I met soon after buying the car.
It was her Wedding car and she had very fond memories of it.

10-07-2014 I purchased car Mileage at 98444.
It is for sale suddenly because I may have another project in mind. I had intended to keep this one!
The car has been superb and with the addition of Power steering and radial tyres is now such a practical and useable car. I use it at least twice a week and it has never let me down, that includes a couple of 250-mile journeys. It uses no water or oil in use.
This car is the most practical and useable classic I have ever owned.
The mileage is now some 104628. So I have covered some 6000 + miles.
I have spent somewhere in the region of £4000 to £5000 pounds on getting it into tip top condition but still retaining its originality. All my receipts have been kept.
This work included a new clutch the addition of Power steering and Radial tyres, electronic ignition, front seat belts, and modern “retro” radio CD payer with USB. Air horns.
Servicing, Oils filters etc, etc.

There are a large number of very rare spares that came with the car and I can list those if you are interested.
There are also workshop manuals handbooks and other Humber related publications
This car is not a “show” queen it has blemishes to the body and chrome and the interior shows its age in a worn and comfortable way.
The car is very rust free! The sills were replaced some years ago. All wheel arches valances door bottoms etc are in very solid condition.
In my ownership the car is garaged with a dehumidifier.
It is very original but was painted in1963! From Grey to Dark blue, because the owner wanted it that colour as confirmed by his daughter.
For me that was its appeal what you see is what you get I would never consider “restoring”, my practice has been to preserve. Should it not sell I will not be to disappointed and will continue to enjoy it as it is.

The number plate is transferable and has a value of around £2000
I will be seeking offers above £12000. It may seem a great deal but one recently sold for £17250 at auction.
