EXTERIOR
Looking every inch the part with its exciting shape, Peugeot Sport livery and white steel wheels the Rallye really does stand out from the crowd. Easily distinguished from any other 106 model, as the exterior has more purpose and character. Only available in Indigo Blue or Bianca White in the UK, the Ralleys exterior helps make it such an intoxicating car on the road. The vibrant Indigo Blue paintwork on this example presents in good condition, commensurate with the cars age.
INTERIOR
Simplistic yet effective, inside this Rallye you are met with its refreshing lack of frippery – creature comforts extend to just heating, rear screen demister and a cigarette lighter. There’s no central locking, no electric windows, and most importantly no distractions – making it a truly involving drive.
This example presents in all round fantastic condition with only light signs of use to the susceptible drivers bolster. Across the dashboard all switches and dials work as intended with no marks, scuffs or signs of wear.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The Series 2 Rallye swapped the original’s 1. 3-litre screamer for a torquier 1. 6-litre eight-valve engine. The engine bay on this example presents perfectly clean and in terrific mechanical health. The car displays a spritely and involving experience on test, with drivetrain and engine in perfect working harmony.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The lightweight Michelin Sport steel wheels painted bright white remain in unmarked, excellent condition all round with all four Pirelli Cinturato P6 tyres show plenty of tread.
HISTORY FILE
Having been regularly maintained to a high standard this Rallye is in perfect mechanical health, ready to be driven and enjoyed by its next custodian. Evidence of previous work carried out includes head gasket replacement, new coolant radiator and suspension drop links. Previous MOT’s are also present in the history file, alongside many receipts for work carried out throughout its life.
