This 204 Convertible was bequeathed by its first owner to his son in June 1990. At that date, a new registration document was lost.
In 1994, despite the absence of rust thanks to meticulous maintenance, the son fully dismantled the vehicle and undertook its restoration.
As sometimes happens, he eventually lost interest in the project and sold the Peugeot to an enthusiast who completed the restoration. He was able to compare his work with that of another 204 Cabriolet that he used daily. The car was fitted with a Peugeot replacement engine, already equipped with the new three‑phase alternator.
In 2012, the Cabriolet was first registered in his wife’s name, then in his own.
In 2022, the Peugeot was sold to a man who was restoring another 204 Cabriolet and used this vehicle only until the end of his own restoration in 2023. He then sold it to the owner of a workshop specialising in classic Peugeots.
