EXTERIOR
Finished in Sonic Blue metallic this rare P1 presents well throughout. The gleaming paintwork is in good condition, boasting a deep metallic flake with only a handful of discreet imperfections as evidence of its 75k miles. The purposeful, sculpted exterior features deep chin and unique rear spoilers that were designed by Peter Stevens of McLaren F1 Fame. The P1 was the first official type approved UK Impreza with a two-door saloon body, and its exclusivity is obvious in every detail.
INTERIOR
The superb Recaro sports seats locate the driver an inch or two lower than in the Impreza Turbo. They are in good condition with no rips or tears to be found. The blue velour and grey alcantara upholstery features subtle red stitching to match the leather-trimmed Momo steering wheel, gear knob, and hand brake lever. The trim throughout remains in good order, with no unsightly modifications fitted within the cabin.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Performance is as strong as you would expect from a car that packs a claimed 276hp and weighs just 1, 295kg. The sprint to 60mph is 4. 7 seconds, with a top speed of 155mph. The engine bay of this example is tidy and corrosion-free, with nothing untoward worthy of note.
This particular P1 has had the Driver Controlled Centre Diff (DCCD) refitted. The intent of this mechanism is to adjust the diff lock ratio of the LSD as necessary. By adjusting the diff lock ratio, depending on the various roads and running conditions, unrivaled driving mobility can be demonstrated.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The P1 sits on the original set of 17-inch Prodrive OZ alloys. All four wheels are in decent order and show almost no curb marking. They are presented in satin black and are shod in a matching set of Goodyear tyres.
HISTORY FILE
First registered in July 2000 and supplied by Pinkstones, Newcastle, this P1 has covered just 75, 520 miles from new. It is complemented by a well-documented Subaru main dealer and specialist service history. Present in the history file you'll find the original document holder complete with all relevant owners manuals. The service booklet is stamped seven times with evidence of the remaining service work in the form of invoices. The MOT is valid until October 2017.
