The unique Horizon blue paintwork (only available on the Atacama edition) presents without fault and works well against the Atacama exterior upgrades which include side decals, black painted rear styling bars and a black rear bumper.
Bi-xenon headlamps assist a sharp, clean front end whilst running boards, towbar and a protective lockable loadbed round off the changes that help this limited special stand out from the crowd.
INTERIOR
The cabin is class leading in terms of both quality and function. Inside there’s leather upholstery, a new multi-function steering wheel, Sat-nav, Bluetooth and dual-zone climate control to ensure modern day refinement.
The heated seats present as new both at the front and rear with no wear to report.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 177bhp 2. 0-litre BiTDI diesel engine offers plenty of grunt, equipped with an eight-speed autobox and permanent four-wheel drive. The seemless DSG offers seamless movement through the gears, pared back by a Comfort mode to suit more adverse conditons.
Hill assist is also a welcome addition if testing the off road abilities and 4 wheel drive system.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The model specific 19-inch Cantera alloys are unmarked wrapped in Continental Cross Contact rubber – a perfect compound for on and off road.
Brakes display minimal use in line with mileage covered.
HISTORY FILE
Registered in November of 2015 this Atacama Edition has had two business owners from new, thus eligible as VAT qualifying.
A Westfalia tow bar and Roll-n-Lock are welcome extras with all relevant instructions in the history file.
