Sensational two owner from new 2nd series car with Dellorto carbs, the best driving 1. 3 Fulvia on the market!
History of this car
The ownership report with this Fulvia shows it is a two owner from new vehicle, registered new in Italy and imported here by us recently. The previous Neapolitan owner acquired the Lancia in 1995. He is an experienced Lancia mechanic and has carefully rebuilt the engine and fitted a pair of rare Dellorto carburetors. This Fulvia goes like no other standard 1. 3 coupe – the fastest we have driven.
Recorded mileage is 50, 000 klms (31, 000 miles) TMU. This is possibly the genuine mileage given the condition of wear items inside the cabin; clearly a cherished car. Our car has been ASI appraised and comes with the metal ASI plaque.
The car is sold UK registered with an age related registration.
Bodywork
Our car has been repainted at some point in the original delivery colour, Rosso. The finish is generally excellent with a few minor age related marks. Panel fit is perfect. To differentiate the car from others the previous owner fitted an alloy bonnet from an S1 model.
The chassis is excellent on this car with no signs of accident or rust repair, straight and solid.
The glass is unmarked, and our car still has the supplying dealer decal on the back bumper. The wheels have been recently blasted and repainted.
Mechanicals
The matching numbers engine in our car is the best standard 1. 3 we’ve experienced. This is in part due to the Dellorto carburetors, a rare period upgrade to the Fulvia. Whisper quiet at idle, the engine pulls harder and revs stronger than other examples, with factory oil pressure and high and even compression readings.
Gearbox, brakes and suspension are all excellent, and this car drives as tightly as a new car.
Our Fulvia is shod with Michelins all round, the exhaust is recent and we’ve just replaced the engine oil and filter.
MOT until May 2018.
Interior
A beautiful original interior in this car. Uncracked dashtop, crisp gauges, working radio and clock….. lovely upholstery and undamaged floor matting. A little headlining droop in places, but otherwise this is as good as it gets.
Boot
Consistent with the rest of the car: very correct, jack and toolkit in place, spare wheel with tie down and protective cover.
