Low mileage 50th Anniversary Defender in Atlantis blue with just 66, 000 miles, owned and cherished by me for the last 14 years. Genuine and unmodified, GB 316 is a UK numbered vehicle, which is most important, one of only 385 produced by Land Rover Special vehicles for their 50th Anniversary.
Widely considered to be the best Defender ever produced by Land Rover, the 50th had an extensive list of factory fitted extras including a four speed ZF automatic gearbox and the 184 hp V8 4 litre engine, standard shock absorbers with anti-roll bars front and rear to keep the beast under control. Polished chrome side steps, leather steering wheel and gear knob, checker plate wing tops, sills and rear corner protectors, and an integrated safari roll cage. All round disc brakes. Pewter grey freestyle alloys with BFG tyres. Land Rover also fitted extra sound proofing and a central lockable front cubby box. There are 6 seats, four of which fold down in the rear and a sunroof. All the extras make it extremely practical, fast and civilised to drive. I have added steering guard, Pioneer 6 speaker stereo and a remote control under chassis Warn winch.
Recent full professional re-spray, new rear cross member, new rear door, five new BF G tyres, new seat belts, battery, fuel pump, mud flaps and a new rear exhaust section.
I have all the original handbooks as well as the instruction manuals for the pioneer stereo and Warn winch and all the receipts and invoices under my ownership for the last 14 years. The vehicle was first supplied by Land Rover Park Lane and has had 4 former keepers. Built in 1999, the mileage at 66, 000 is genuine. It had only done 37, 000 miles when I bought it 14 years ago and since then has only averaged just 2, 142 miles per year. MOT til end June 2018. Serviced at 299, 9363, 22850, 36164, 50, 256, 61969. It has been 100% reliable and has never let me down.
