EXTERIOR
This low-mileage example of Audi’s B5 RS4 Estate, presented in Avus Silver is in excellent condition. The paint work displays a deep shine with a metallic flake present making it sparkle under the studio lights. It looks fantastic with the wider front and rear wheel arches, unique, ground-hugging front and rear bumpers and side sills, and rear spoiler all contributing to a distinctive aggressive stance on the road.
RS4 badges front and rear help hint at it’s disguised super car underpinnings packed into a usable and daily vehicle, it’s not all about the power – a large boot and roof rails mean the car is also eminently practical.
INTERIOR
Inside, the car is immaculate, with a subtle Quattro badge on the dash and a RS4 badge on the leather steering wheel. The front Recaro sports seats, clad in unmarked leather and supportive Hi Tech fabric, offer supreme comfort and grip assisted by an arm rest, pristine carpets and digital climate control.
In-car entertainment is offered by Bose sound system, featuring radio, cassette and single CD player all of which work as intended.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The RS4’s engine is famous for its usability, with good torque low down, it is effortless as a daily machine or equally at home at speed.
The spotless example here is in great working order, hidden away behind a shiny black engine cover emblazoned with the famous Audi badge and the telling ‘V6 Biturbo’ legend.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 18-inch 9-spoke alloy wheels on this example are in fantastic condition showing no curb or scuff marks. The hub caps are in a darker shade of grey bearing the famous Audi four interlocking rings and again are in pristine condition.
The alloys are wrapped in a recent set of Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres, showing plenty of tread all round.
HISTORY FILE
Registered in September of 2000 by Franklin Audi a combination of the supplying dealer and Lancaster Audi would service the car for the first 3 years / 25k miles.
With a total of 10 specialist stamps since 2003 this B5 has had everything it has needed during the modest mileage covered. The last service was in October of ’16 at 61, 571 miles which included rear brake discs and pads, with the last cambelt service in July of ’15 at 57k miles.
The car is exceptionally rare in that it presents as sold from the showroom with no modifications whatsoever,
Every Invoice and MOT from new is featured in the History file; excellent provenance that ties in with a total of 14 service stamps in the original service book. All original literature, spare and valet key are included.
