EXTERIOR
The bright Alpine White paintwork maintains a crisp finish against the dark tinted glass and pristine satin black trim. The bodywork is entirely corrosion-free with absolutely no bubbling in any of the usual weak spots to report. Also boasting the desirable M Sport Package the car is equipped with numerous visual upgrades over a standard E46 Touring. The combination of sports suspension and the M Aerodynamics Package ensures a more aggressive stance, while the 17-inch M Sport alloys fill the arches perfectly.
INTERIOR
The sporty aesthetic continues inside. The 12-way adjustable front sports seats are trimmed with anthracite alcantara and present very well, with only light wear to the bolsters as evidence of use. The headlining is upholstered in the same alcantara fabric and is free from any marks or sagging. The dash features Aluminium Black Cube trim, with the usually scratch-prone plastic centre console trim in particularly fresh condition. In the footwells the original velour overmats protect the unmarked carpets, and in the boot area you'll still find the retractable dog guard and load cover.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The engine bay presents immaculately throughout. All plastic components retain a fresh appearance, with absolutely no signs of damage or corrosion anywhere to report. On test, the humble two-litre four-pot delivers its 140hp effortlessly through the gears. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a smooth five-speed automatic transmission.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 17-inch M Sport alloys have just been refurbished to the highest standard and now appear as new. They are equipped with brand new M badges and the original BMW centre caps. The wheels are shod in Pirelli tyres at the front with Hankooks to the rear, all with at least 5mm of tread remaining. Between the spokes the calipers present in really smart condition having just been treated to a light cosmetic refresh.
HISTORY FILE
The E46 was first registered in August 2004. The history file is complete with the original BMW leather document pack plus all the dealer-supplied manuals. The service book is present along with several maintenance records. The MOT is until June 2018.
