We are very pleased to offer for sale this rare and delightful Sports Austin Seven, one of the very cars featured in Rinsey Mills' 'Original Austin Seven' book - a well respected Austin Seven journal. We understand that only 400 of these cars were manufactured over the 1933/ 34 period, before it was replaced by the more mundane 'Nippy'. This particular example was registered in April 1934 and is in splendid condition. The specification of the car is, as far as we can see, original, despite a colour change for the better (it was originally black). The structure of the car including the aluminium body, the paintwork, the chrome work and the mechanicals are all excellent, and the car retains its original registration number. The sports engine is, we understand, the original, and runs very nicely with good oil pressure etc. The wheels and tyres are good and the underside of the car is nice and clean and tidy. There is a good tonneau cover and hood and side screens, and the leather seats have a lovely maturity. The current owner of the car first owned it in the 1960s, but regretted selling it so much that he later traced it again and bought it back a few years ago. It is for sale only because of health issues. The car is keen to get back on the road now, and show you what it can do - lots and lots of enjoyment ahead!
