Rare Morris MINI Cooper S 970cc registration number PRX 815B was originaly owned by Mr. John Whitton, who used it from 1964 to 1971 both as a road and racing car. I has raced around almost all racing circuits in the UK and even abroad on at least three occasions.
In it’s early days it went to Arlington for the engine to be striped down, and late on it was taken to Speedwell os London to be put on the rolling road where it achieved 108bhp. It still has the original bodyshell, the original engine and gearbox and the original speedo with genuine mileage.
In 1971 this gorgeous 970cc Cooper S was put into dry storage until bought in the year 2000 and restored in 2003 by Mr. David Boswell.
This 970cc Cooper S was restored to period specifications, using old stock new original Armsrtong adjustable shock absorbers, new brake discs, reconditioned brake calipers, hubs and driveshafts and old stock new 5″ magnesium Minilite wheels fitei with Dunlop CR65 tyres. Everithing else is either original or fully reconditioned.
