EXTERIOR
The gleaming jet-black coachwork is free from any swirl marks or conspicuous blemishes. Even on very close inspection the XJS is remarkably clean, presenting beautifully without even the slightest hint of corrosion. The underside also presents to en excellent standard following a staggering £25k refresh in late 2016 by marque specialist, KWE Ltd. Huge amounts of work were carried out to ensure the car was brought to an impeccable standard throughout. At this time it was also treated to a full underseal and cavity wax injection thus ensuring a continued rust-free life.
INTERIOR
The handsome black upholstery is a superb accompaniment to the exterior paintwork and roof. The supple leather retains an unblemished appearance with a lovely factory texture having never been re-connolised. The seat squabs and bolsters show no signs of any sagging or unsightly wrinkles, and the electronic lumbar support operates just as it should.
The cabin throughout remains feeling fresh. Elegant walnut adorns the dash and centre console, upon which all the switchgear remains in fine fettle. The car also boasts an uprated sound system to include a DAB radio along with JL Audio speakers; the original aerial is still in placing having been re-commissioned to receive the DAB signal. A Garmin satellite navigation system is also fitted.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The XJS was most recently serviced in November 2016 by KWE at 77k miles. The car has seen little use since that time and remains in excellent mechanical condition. The 5. 3-litre V12 performs effortlessly whatever the pace and the smooth automatic gearbox shifts exactly as required. Also in 2016 a factory specification stainless exhaust system was fitted at a cost of over £2k.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Each of the 15-inch lattice wheels present to the highest standard having been beautifully refurbished in recent years. They are shod in a matching set of tyres with little wear. At 77k miles the XJS underwent a comprehensive mechanical refresh that included renewal and upgrade of the suspension, brakes and steering system. This work was carried out by KWE at a cost of over £10, 500.
HISTORY FILE
This LHD XJS was manufactured by Jaguar UK in 1990. It was then immediately shipped to the US for its first registration. After fourteen years in the dry state of California the car returned to England, covering little over 10k miles on UK roads since then.
In 2016 the XJS was sent to renowned marque specialist, Knowles-Wilkins Engineering (KWE) Ltd, for an extensive re-commissioning. The total cost for the work carried out came to an eye-watering £25k. In addition to the select few items that required attention the following work was undertaken:

Present in the History File is the original Jaguar document holder, owner’s manual, and dealer-supplied service booklet with stamped entries. A certificate and full breakdown of the work carried out by KWE is included, along with numerous workshop photographs taken during the rebuild process.
