EXTERIOR
The Cosmos Black Metallic paint is in great condition taking into account the slightly higher mileage of this example. This example looks like it has covered much fewer miles than it has. The car still has a wonderful depth of gloss to the lacquer and the paintwork shines to a lovely finish. There are no blemishes or scratches and this example is in great condition for the age. Likewise, all light lenses and trim retain a fresh appearance. Overall, the paintwork is in great condition. There is no rust to be found whatsoever on this car. The red roof is in great original condition and does not leak and the rear window is clear and not cloudy. The glass all around the car is original BMW, being etched with the BMW emblems.
INTERIOR
The Black and Red Leather is in beautiful condition throughout, with minimal wear to be found. The carpet, trim, switches are all free of wear and have aged very well. The seat bolsters are unworn and are free from any scuffs or sagging. –Something quite staggering for a roadster with slightly higher miles than usually expected. The carpets are unmarked and unworn. The dashboard and centre console are also in equally fine condition, with no cracks or sun damage to be found.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This Z3 M Roadster is powered by BMW’s M Division 3. 2-litre six-cylinder unit, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. This example performs perfectly and the car drives beautifully; responding just as you would expect. The manual gearbox is very crisp through all the gears and the clutch performs perfectly, with no slip or heaviness. The engine bay is completely original and both trim and components have aged very well. Overall, this is an engine bay that is both original yet has a fresh look.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 18-inch M Sport alloy wheels are in great condition having recently been refurbished and are shod in Michelin tyres all around with good tread.
HISTORY
This Z3 M Roadster was first registered in August 1998 and has a complete, fully stamped service history. The service book has a total of 16 stamps, all by BMW or BMW specialists. This vehicle has been looked after by our sister company, Autobarn Ltd, BMW, Mini & Mercedes-Benz Specialists since 2003 and has been maintained regardless of cost with in excess of £6, 000 being spent. This car has therefore been maintained properly and is ready to be enjoyed on our roads.
