** FORD FERGUSON 2N FOR SALE**
Quite a rare sight these days. Ford Ferguson 2N presented in (older restoration condition) and is a fully working and operational tractor.
History of the Ford Ferguson (In my opinion).
The Ford Ferguson was the first tractor manufactured by Harry Ferguson and Henry Ford to incorporate the revolutionary idea of brain child Harry Ferguson's three point linkage system. The first tractor to have this fitted produced in the Ford Ferguson range was the 9N and was introduced in the October of 1939. Three different variants of the tractor were made, these consisted of the 9N, 2N and the 8N tractor. The 8N tractor having a some improvements over the other two by benefiting from a four speed transmission. The Ford Ferguson 2N had narrow ribbed front tyres and solid wheel centres. However, the partnership between Harry and Henry wasn't to last as Harry saw a gap in the market for a tractor back home in England. In 1946 Harry Ferguson announced the reveal of his new tractor the Ferguson TE-20 standing for (Tractor-England-20-Horsepower), the production of Ford Ferguson tractors ended in 1947 after a total production in excess of 300, 000 tractors, one of Americas most best selling small farm tractor.
This Ford-Ferguson 2N is fitted with a four cylinder petrol engine with schebler carburettor. The tractor starts and runs sweet and is sitting on two nearly new rear tyres and the fronts and far behind. There is no documentation with the tractor however the crucial ID plate is present along with various body numbers so registering is possible (call if concerned). Tidy tractor, hard to find in this condition. Video available on website.
£2350 (OLDER RESTORATION, FULL OF CHARACTER).
