History of this car
We sold this desirable 2nd series Fulvia to the current titled owner in 2016, and we’re delighted to have it back on sale due to the arrival of his new car. Around 6000 kms have been added to the odometer in his hands, and the car has seen regular usage and a no expense spared approach to upkeep.
This is a very early series 2 car, having been first registered on 26th January 1971 in Florence, Northern Italy. The car spent its entire life in the kind Italian climate until we imported it in late 2015, prising the car from the previous collector owner who resided in a Tuscan castello.
This car carries an ASI Gold certification, which is testament to its superior condition and confirms it is a matching numbers example clad in its delivery colour scheme.
It appears this car was subjected to a thorough restoration at some point in its life. Of course, having been in Italy, there is no documentation to prove this, but the quality of this car leads us to believe so. In addition, this Fulvia has many HF style upgrades to the following specification:
Debumpered with Fanalone type teardrop blanking plates

The car is otherwise standard, with the exception of an electric fuel priming pump, inertia reel seat belts, and over carpets.
Bodywork
The body on this car is impressive with laser straight sides and consistent shut lines. The grigio escoli metallizzato paint was applied some years ago and today presents strongly with a thin, even shine with the odd minor age related imperfection.
The good news continues underneath with a dry, rock solid chassis which has benefitted from professional rust proofing under the current ownership (pictures of the chassis prior to the rust proofing are on file).
All glass, lighting and trim pieces are in A1 condition, and our car is fitted with Cromodora style alloy wheels in unmarked condition.
Mechanicals
This example drives particularly well and benefits from £3500 expenditure in 2017 with marque specialists on servicing including replacing the timing chain, valves, distributor, wheel bearings and general servicing work, including the addition of an electric fuel pump.
Fulvias are known for nimble handling and this example does not disappoint. The car stops and steers as it should and has a smooth ride.
The engine bay is leak free, clean and neatly detailed. All 4 tyres are Michelins fitted in 2016.

Interior
The sporty charisma of this car continues on the inside with a rare original Ferrero Montecarlo dished steering wheel, which, coupled with a pair of Fusina style corduroy-insert bucket seats (mounted onto original adjustment rails), really make this a special place to be.
The dashboard features fog-free gauges and an uncracked dashtop, and the headlining has just been replaced with correct materials. The vinyl matting has been preserved by a set of Fulvia branded over carpets. Of note, the clock works, very rare on a Fulvia!
Boot
Fitted with spare, tie down, spare cover, correct Battaini jack and tool kit.
