EXTERIOR
The glossy Carbonschwarz exterior presents to a great standard overall, with no scuffs or scrapes to report. The M3’s muscular proportions are paired well with aftermarket CSL alloys finished in satin bronze. On closer inspection there is zero corrosion to be found to the body, and no unsightly door dings present along either side.
INTERIOR
The interior of this E46 retains a clean appearance with no signs of excessive wear. The electrically adjustable and heated sports seats are upholstered in Black Nappa leather and still present to a very good standard. Commonly worn items such as the steering wheel and gear knob retain great factory textures and show few signs of use. The delicate interior trim is for the most part blemish-free, and in the foot-wells you’ll find a full set of tailored overmats.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 3. 2 straight-six fires up with an intoxicating rasp, sounding great through the original quad pipes. The car presents in great mechanical fettle, and was most recently serviced in 2017 just 1k miles ago. On test there’s no doubt the M3 performs well, the coveted manual ‘box allowing smooth and precise gear changes right through the rev range.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The M3 sits on a set of aftermarket CSL wheels that fill the arches beautifully. They are finished in an attractive shade of bronze and present to an excellent standard, free from any curb marking or wear. The tyres are Bridgestone at the front and Michelin at the rear.
HISTORY FILE
First registered in August 2004 the M3 has seen just three owners from new. The car was last serviced at 57, 293 miles in 2017. Present in the history file there is a selection of invoices for work carried out over the years. The original BMW document pack is included along with the stamped service booklet.
