EXTERIOR
With a simple but legendary design, the Integrale looks very smart in its lustrous coat of Nero Metallic. Its boxy proportions are instantly recognisable and the bodywork certainly does not disappoint, even on very close inspection. There are no unsightly scuffs or scrapes of any kind, and there is no corrosion to be found having only recently arrived into the UK following a pampered life in Italy.
INTERIOR
The welcoming tan interior boasts high-back Recaro sports seats upholstered in soft alcantara. The delicate bolsters are in excellent unworn condition, with no marking or discolouration to report throughout. The rear seats are in equally fine order and the complementing door cards are also blemish-free.
Pleasingly the original steering wheel and gear knob remain in place, and there is no damage to any of the internal trim or dash. The carpets are protected in the foot-wells by a set of tailored overmats and the boot area also remains perfectly clean and tidy, still housing the spare wheel and Lancia tool roll.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The turbocharged 2-litre performs effortlessly on test, and without catalytic converters the Evo I is considered by many to be the most desirable specification. The under-bonnet area of this example still presents to an excellent original standard, free from any modifications or upgrades.
On closer inspection there is zero rust to be found, with no signs of any damage or poor repair. In fact, all components appear fresh with little evidence of wear. The car was most recently serviced at 29k miles, at which point the belts were replaced and a new clutch was fitted.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The Evoluzione sits on a set of striking 17-inch alloys. The wheels are finished in an attractive shade of grey and present to an excellent standard with only the lightest of marking to be found. Between the spokes you’ll notice performance brake discs all round, along with Lancia-inscribed calipers finished in red.
HISTORY FILE
Production of this Evo I was completed in February 1992; it was supplied new to the first keeper in Montegranaro, Italy, on the 22nd April. The car remained in Italy until July 2017 and is now fully registered with just one UK owner. The details of all former keepers are known and recorded in the paperwork, and the original Lancia document pack is still present. The history file is complete with the original maintenance booklet and all handbooks. Since arriving in the country the car has remained in dry storage.
