The Appeal

Plenty of cars call themselves ‘replicas’, but in our view, this is one of the most compelling. It’s no mere XK120 lookalike, as beneath the skin we find a bespoke period-inspired chassis and a genuine XK straight-six engine. Built by a well-respected manufacturer Broomstick Cars in 1997 using a Series II Jaguar XJ donor car, this is a high-quality machine that also incorporates a raft of sympathetic upgrades. In short, this replica pays homage to the legendary XK120, and improves upon its design, making this one of the most driveable cars of its kind.

We’re informed that the car was professionally repainted around three to four years ago and the vendor has kept it in dry storage since they acquired it five years ago. We’re informed that it runs and drives very well indeed, and with no MOT or road tax required, it’s simple to run and ready to roll.

We understand that this replica was built using components from Broomstick Cars in 1997
The large history file includes numerous invoices from Broomstick Cars Ltd as well as various descriptions of the specifications and work carried out
