Recent import, first UK-registered in November 2019
One of very few surviving straight and solid examples
US-spec fuel-injected example with Norwegian restoration history
Judiciously maintained by marque specialists since arriving in the UK
The Appeal
Much like the 105 Series Alfa Romeo Spider, the Fiat turned to Pininfarina to design and later build bodies for their 124 Spider. Both shared some components and were powered by four-cylinder twin-cam engines. Where the two Spiders differed, is that the Fiat gained notoriety in rallying, racking up a series of victories in Group 4 and an impressive fourth place at the prestigious 1975 Monte Carlo Rally.
Here we have a very smart 1979 example which arrived in the UK in November 2019 following some time spent in Norway. Since then, it has been regularly maintained, with several invoices detailing various work undertaken by marque specialists including Middle Barton Garage near Oxford. Well-presented throughout and reportedly in rude health, this stylish convertible classic awaits its next custodian.
