1962 CHRYSLER 300 FOR SALE
The Chrysler 300 non letter series was a full size automobile produced by Chrysler from 1962 until 1971. It was the replacement for the 1961 Chrysler Windsor, which itself filled the place in Chrysler's line previously occupied by the Saratoga just the year before that. At the time, it was considered a luxurious muscle car, with all the performance of the Dodge and Plymouth products of the time, but with the luxury features expected of the Chrysler name. The 300 was positioned as a cheaper rendition of the 300 letter series, and a sporty variant of a full-size automobile, adding four door hardtop version and running alongside that model until its discontinuation in 1966. It became the sole 300 model until 1971, when production ended.
1962 Chrysler 300 Hardtop. This car has been is a one family owned vehicle. The grandfather that owned the vehicle drove the car until 1977 then parked it in a barn. This is a barn find vehicle. The engine is a 383 V8 with a push button automatic transmission. We got the engine to start by pouring some gas into the carburetor. This car comes with power steering and power brakes. Side windows in the vehicle are manual. All the wheels on the car look to be original. It is missing one of the hubcaps. Has both black and yellow license plates.
The interior of the vehicle is complete. The dash is all original and gauge cluster is all intact. Has the original front and rear seats. All the glass for the vehicle is there and in good condition. Steering wheel is original to the car. The car has a couple of areas where there is some rust, but overall the car is fairly solid. The floor and frame rails are in good shape. The original jack and some other parts are included with the sale. Has a clean California title. This vehicle has sleek lines and would make a great cruiser.
