What’s not to like about a small, sporty and affordable mid-engine Honda? Honda developed this one-off mid-engine, rear-wheel drive chassis just for the S660 which is constructed out of an aluminium and steel sub-frame that’s stiffer than Honda S2000. Tipping the scales at just 830kg, the S660 is powered by a three-cylinder, 660cc turbocharged engine producing a heady 63 bhp, but lets be honest this car is not about outright speed, but about having fun at sensible speeds with the wind in your hair and enjoying the incredible handling.
And it’s fun, too: the little three-pot’s redline is at 7, 700rpm, and it’ll thrum to that point keenly before you change gear via the steering wheel mounted paddles, unless your feeling lazy in which case you just pop the gearbox selector into drive and let the gearbox do the hard work for you.
Registered in the UK in June 2023 this car has only had 1 UK keeper who purchased the car from well known JDM specialist Prodrift UK. The mileage when leaving Japan was certified by JEVIC in February 2023 at 47800 kms (29701 miles) and the car now has a shade over 30, 000 miles.
Finished in gleaming black and sitting of a set of unmarked diamond cut alloy wheels the car presents beautifully, with the interior being in equally first class condition.
Spec wise, the car will not disappoint with such niceties as air conditioning, central locking, electric windows, Bluetooth telephone / music streaming, half leather / suede seats and even a G Force meter so you can check out your cornering prowess.
