Fitted with NSU's own 500cc overhead-valve engine and a four-speed gearbox, the 501 OSL represented a capable and refined touring machine for its time, with a fine turn of speed proving that it was a verey capable sidecar machine. Surviving examples are rare, and finding one offered with a sidecar is rarer still.
