The Appeal 

The key to the Vespa’s long life is continuous evolution. The 150, launched in 1954, introduced more power and the ‘large frame’ that made these scooters more comfortable over longer distances. 
The huge popularity and remarkable reliability of these simple scooters is well known, but original and unmodified examples like this one are in surprisingly short supply. It retains its factory-correct grey paintwork together with the neat, simple details that make these ‘50s models so sought-after. 
It arrived in the UK in 2023 and its provenance has been traced via the British Lambretta Owners Association, which has issued a Dating Certificate. In good, unrestored condition, this is a characterful scooter with a lovely light patina of age.

  • VL1T chassis prefix ‘Mk1’ model built between 1954 and 1955
  • British Lambretta Owners Association Dating Certificate dated October 2022
  • ‘Large frame’ 150 model with headlamp above the wheel 
  • Historic Vehicle exempt from MOT, tax and ULEZ
  • V5C in current keeper’s name
  • Imported to UK and registered here in February 2023
  • Two UK keepers

  • Some receipts from Auto Club Vicenza for parts in 2004

  • Well kept and original condition with some light aging as shown

  • Original grips, Veglia dial and other fittings showing light patina and good condition 
  • Two seater layout with sprung front seat, both in good condition 
  • Steel wheels with good tyres and matching spare in similar order
  • We understand that all functions, lights and dials work correctly
