The Appeal
Sometimes it takes a really good MGB roadster to act as a reminder just how good-looking these most popular of classics are. And here is exactly that, a lovely Tartan Red ‘66 that remains in very good condition despite being an older restoration.
The car was restored by MG Engineering some years ago and the engine overhauled in 2004. The black leather interior has also been retrimmed and pleasingly retains original early B features such as the sprung three-spoke steering wheel. It is testament to the subsequent keepers that it remains in such good order, the exterior and interior carrying the sort of gentle patina that adds character to a high quality restoration.
The vendor acquired the car in 2016 and has used it sparingly, garaging it between uses. The car is MOT exempt by age but has been regularly tested by the current keeper. The most recent test shows no advisories and runs to October 2025. It was last serviced in October 2024.
