The Appeal
It's arguable that the 02 series is really where our modern image of BMW began. Smartly styled, balanced performance and top-notch handling made these the peak of the executive car market in their day - and they're still pretty impressive now. This is one of those cars that simply gets everything right, taking the legendary Neue Klasse that came before it and making it all the more dynamic.
This '75 example boasts its original Golf Yellow livery, with the fuel-injected Tii specs and the much-clamoured-for Lux interior. It's a car with everything going for it, and has been in the owner's possession for a very impressive 35 years. Needless to say, it's been pampered and preened throughout and now makes for a highly attractive classic.
