The Appeal

The Namco Pony is a fascinating thing - a lightweight utility vehicle built by the Namco factory in Greece on the Citroën AK platform, sharing its air-cooled 602cc flat-twin engine and running gear with the iconic 2CV. Often dubbed "the Greek Méhari," these sports-utility machines boasted unusual angular styling and super-lightweight performance. Finding one at all is a challenge.

This 1981 example has undergone a partial restoration, with everything that required attention reportedly addressed using original Namco factory parts from old stock. The bodywork has been repaired throughout and the vehicle is fitted with a genuine polyester roof. Inside, the original seats, turn signal switches, and light switches have been retained and restored.

It's in fine condition throughout, with a current MOT valid until June 2028. A real little rarity - one that's bound to turn heads.
