The Appeal
Sometimes it’s all about the details. To get an impression of just how carefully this RSR Evocation has been developed take a look at the door pulls. Look unusual? They’re the original activator cord pulls from an actual fighter jet. The passenger side one was used in anger. Or, more likely, fear.
That detail is appropriate because this car is no ordinary RSR replica. The RSR body kit was fitted during a fully structural restoration by the previous keeper. It carefully channels and cools air to maximise performance. Beneath it there is engineering from some of the true greats of the Porsche world.
The engine is a 964 3.6L flat six built by Nick Fulljames of RedTek and delivering 318bhp. The gearbox is by RSR Engineering based on a 915 unit. Then there is the suspension, which was built by Chris Franklin of Centre Gravity and is a fully adjustable set up.
Inside you might expect a race-honed cabin. But this car has been thought through - the reclining Recaros will hold you tight on the track, but there is an element of luxury and comfort to the alcantara trim and even the sunroof that give this car a far broader remit than merely hooning around a circuit.
It is an astonishing car. With less than 19,000 miles since the work was completed, it is in very good order. Three thick, bulging folders attest to the scope of the project, the investment and the ongoing maintenance.
We think this is one of the best RSR Evocations we’ve seen in a long while. That it is equally suited to the road and track merely dials up the draw.

The attention to detail across the exterior and interior of this RR evocation is truly impressive. Now finished in the factory colour of Arrow Blue, which is neatly accented with Porsche and RSR decals, it is a very well finished car with some clever features. These both improve the performance - such as the front bumper channeling air across the modified bonnet to improve aerodynamics and oil cooling - and the rear end that incorporates detailed RSR and IROC elements. The exterior is very well kept, showing only very light signs of the low mileage since completion.
Inside the attention to detail is similarly high, with at least one ‘Easter egg’ to delight fans. The cabin is set up to suit road or track use so there are reclining Recaro and Alcantara trim for the roofline and A pillars. The lovely details include Martini elements to the wheel and, the piece de resistant, the door release cables. These are activator cords for a fighter jet’s ejector seat. This 911’s specification reads like a who’s who of Porsche supplier royalty. Nick Fulljames at RedTek specified and built the engine, Wayne Scholfield of Chip Wizards tuned it and RSR Engineering overhauled the gearbox. Then there’s the Chris Franklin fully adjustable suspension set up.
The car has covered less than 19,000 miles since the work began. Three thick folders of history attest to the scope of improvements and nature of the ongoing maintenance. The car arrives on the market with no known issues for the buyer to contemplate and in rude health.
