The Appeal
The BMW R100RS, penned by Hans Muth and introduced in the late 1970s, was a landmark in motorcycle design. Its wind-tunnel-tested fairing - the first of its kind on a production motorcycle - helped contribute to its reputation as a fine high-speed cruiser that offered top-notch handling and refined long-distance touring by the ton. Nearly four decades on, the R100RS remains one of the most respected and sought-after boxer-engined mounts out there.
This 1988 example, finished in Polar White, was originally a dealer demonstrator and has since remained in low ownership. It has been used sympathetically as a touring machine rather than a daily commuter, and comes supported by a file of invoices documenting its care over the years.

Service History
Last maintenance was carried out in 2023/24 by DM Historics, which included all fluids being replaced as well as fitment of new spark plugs, battery, tyres, and exhaust centre silencer
November 2021, technicians at RR Motorcycles carried out a service including replacement spark plugs, engine oil, and oil filter.
