The Appeal
Even without the blue chip rallying heritage, we’d love the Impreza WRX. It is such a capable, agile car that it is one of the best road-going cars of the last 30 years.
If you want one, and many do, then there are plenty about. The trick is finding a well cared for example that is ideally factory standard, because after all Subaru knew what it was doing. This car ticks both those boxes. That it has also covered 49,787 miles from new is a strong added bonus.
Finished in silver with gold alloys and two-tone fabric interior, this is a very tidy example of the pre-facelift ‘bug eye’ second generation model. It was first registered in Japan, reportedly with 280bhp on tap, before being imported to the UK 2003. There have been just five UK keepers, the current one since 2021 and previous one since 2009.
The large history file shows regular maintenance irrespective of the sparing use. It was last serviced in August 2024 and comes to market with MOT to August 2025.
