The Appeal
The DB7 is one of the most beautiful and capable GT cars of the last 30 years. For some enthusiastic drivers, the early cars were more GT than sporting.
For those drivers Aston Martin created this car, the GT. Firmer suspension and a reworked V12 that delivered more power and much more mid range punch created a credible British riposte to Maranello’s 360.
Just 191 manual-gearbox GTs were built and here we have arguably one of the best. It has covered less than 45,000 miles from new and is beautifully presented in black metallic with a cream leather interior.
The current keeper acquired the car in 2016 and immediately commissioned marque specialist Trinity Engineering to undertake a full check over and attend to anything the car needed. The work included a new clutch, brake discs and pads, wheel refurbishment, new tyres and a battery. It cost £20,000 and delivered a considerably improved car. Since then it has covered less than 5,000 miles. In the intervening years it has been regularly maintained by Trinity, including a £3,500 pre-sale check over and service in March 2025. The Alcantara headlining has also been recently replaced. The MOT runs to October 2025 with no advisories.
The GT is the one of the best and rarest of DB7s. These cars do not come to market often and this one would grace any collection.
The vendor says:
“It is great fun to drive and I haven't noticed any faults with it. I have loved and enjoyed owning one of the rarest DB7 models, with the uprated, more powerful engine and GT styling. It looks and sounds great. I am only selling as I am looking to buy an older 1980s V8.”
