The Appeal
The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano was launched in 2006, the latest in Ferrari’s legendary front-engine, V12 flagships. It was designed with several specific objectives in mind: to increase driving pleasure, to guarantee performance (courtesy of technology transfers from the F1 single-seaters), and to ensure comfort, ergonomics and safety.
It's 6.0 litre V12 engine, developed from the Ferrari Enzo, provided 612bhp, making it the most powerful road car Ferrari had ever produced. It also featured an all-aluminium chassis, again derived from the Enzo, and with a host of technology influenced from the Ferrari Formula 1 team, including its new traction control F1-Trac and the F1 Superfast auto clutch.
The 599 became the benchmark for other cars in its class to aspire to, being capable of sprinting to 60mph in 3.7 seconds and achieving a top speed of 205mph. This 599 is believed to be one of the last examples that was specified with the HGTE (Handling Gran Turismo Evoluzione) factory option which improved handling and increased the overall response of the car thanks to stiffer springs, lower ride height, an even quicker gearshift with the ability to perform multiple downshifts by continuing to hold on to the left paddle and a remapped magnetic damper system.
Also included in the HGTE package were new split-rim alloys, a sportier exhaust and a revamped interior which included additional carbon fibre elements and the previously optional carbon fibre trimmed Recaro race seats which have the "Handling GTE" stitching embroidered onto the headrests.
For collectors and the more discerning buyers, cars with the factory fitted HGTE package remains the most desirable as very few were made.

Supplied by Lancaster Ferrari this Ferrari was ordered with a very high specification, including the coveted HGTE handling package. It was first registered to Lancaster, and then had a couple of owners who had the car regularly maintained by their local Ferrari Dealer.
At sometime in its history the car was recorded as a Cat D due to damage to the rear of the car. The car was professionally repaired and has been owned by the same family for the past 8 years, being always garaged and used sparingly.

The interior of the 599 is a delight to behold and is everything you would expect from such a thoroughbred Ferrari. High quality black leather and Alcantara dominate the cabin with plenty of carbon fibre trim on the door cards, dashboard, centre console and tunnel which all work together beautifully giving the car an unmistakable sporty character and feel.
As you sit in the electrically controlled sports seats, in front of you there is the carbon fibre steering wheel with LED shift lights, engine start button and ‘manettino’, and beyond there is the large yellow central rev counter, smaller speedometer and integrated digital information display.
In terms of ergonomics, design and sheer beauty the 599 interior scores maximum points and its condition is excellent, with only some minor wear evident on the driver’s seat bolster and a couple of the buttons on the centre console.

The 599 GTB is a stunning looking car from every angle, being both dynamic and muscular with an aggressive and wide stance that, while sophisticated and uber-stylish, leave you in no doubt of the performance capabilities of the car.
Presented in the classic Ferrari Rosso colour with carbon fibre wing badges, door handles and fuel flap, the car sits on unmarked 20” HGTE spec split-rim alloy wheels with matching Pirelli Zero tyres and presents beautifully.
The paintwork has a good deep shine and gloss to it with only some touched in paint on the wing mirrors and a small crack in the paint on the front bumper to mention.
Courtesy of a London speed-bump, the underside of the front spoiler has taken a bit of damage but otherwise the car is in excellent all round condition.
