Stunning E39 Touring in virtually unmarked original condition. This is a one owner car originally owned by me in Japan from new and imported to the UK earlier this year. The car has been fully registered with the DVLA, all duties and taxes paid and has been MOT’d and VED paid.
I originally purchased this car in March 2003 for my personal use whilst on business in Japan for over 10 years. The car was supplied by BMW Tokyo and serviced by them until I imported the car into the UK in March 2015. I had intended keeping this lovely car but because of a change in my circumstances, the car is regrettably for sale.
As the Final Edition model of this range, the vehicle is very highly specified by UK standards and has electric memory seats, leather upholstery, electric folding mirrors, full comms pack including navigation, phone and analogue TV as well as electric glass sunroof, Hi-Fi speaker system including factory sub-woofer. Everything in the car works as it should and you would expect for such a low mileage (46, 000 miles) vehicle.
The car drives without fault and as a precaution, when the car arrived in the UK, I had it fully serviced and inspected by TWG BMW, despite no service being needed.
For those of you who know your E39’s the late 525 engine was generally acknowledged as the best power and efficiency combination of the range. It is one of the most reliable engines BMW has ever produced and delivers seamless power delivery through the servotronic automatic gearbox.
The car is for immediate sale complete with all original documents, handbooks, service history and manuals. It is MOT’d until the 31st March 2016. I also have a copy of the Shaken test (Japan MOT) carried out just before I imported the car to the UK, showing a complete clean bill of health.
Please do not confuse this car with the cheaper high mileage dubious history cars for sale on EBay and the like. Having owned this car from new and maintained it without consideration of cost, I am confident in its ability, however any inspection is welcome and encouraged.
