Description
This is an original UK car, and therefore very rare in this condition. There is a folder which contains an assortment of old MOT's, tax discs, and invoices, including the original hand books and service records from when it was supplied new in 1980. However, the paper trail stops in 2012, when it is believed the car was taken off the road and underwent a comprehensive restoration. It was returned to the road in 2021 by the previous owner, who bought it out of long term storage. Unfortunately, there is no paperwork covering the restoration.
I bought the car in January 2022, and have done various small jobs to further improve the car, including a full service. It runs and drives nicely, the mileage of 63, 000 is believed to be genuine, supported by the service history. It has proved to be reliable during my ownership having only been used to attend a few classic car shows and a few outings in fine weather. Always garaged.
The bodywork presents well, with a deep shine to the metallic blue paintwork. However, there are a few minor imperfections here and there since it is thought that the respray was probably done about 10 years ago. The underneath is all sound, welding repairs to all four jacking points having been carried out. The chrome work is in very good condition. The interior is also very good.
The standard wheels have been refurbished, and fitted with new tyres. Spacers have been fitted, giving the car a slightly wider stance, filling the wheel arches better.
