1925 Austin Seven 'Pram-hood' Chummy - Probably the Best Available
Without doubt one of the best early Austin Sevens we’ve come across in recent years, this delightful ‘AC’ series Chummy was in the hands of its previous owner for 55 years.
The car underwent a full ‘nut and bolt’ restoration between 2014 - 2015 to show standard.
All the original features remain and, remarkably, the upholstery is original and has survived incredibly well over 95 years.
The factory stencilled number is visible on the chassis and this has been carefully lacquered in order to preserve it.
The gearbox underwent a specialist rebuild earlier this year, which included the fitment of updated 20/ 24 ‘Andes’ second gear.
The weather equipment is ‘as new’ and includes a hood bag.
If you are seeking an early Austin Seven, you are unlikely to find a better example than this one. It retains its original Devon registration number, correctly stencilled. For safety in traffic, flashing indicators have been fitted unobtrusively.
