This 1987 Nissan Sunny ZX Coupe was cherished by its first lady owner who bought it from Time-Tees Cars of Upminster where it was specified (and detailed on the included original bill of sale) with special order "Sports" wheels and spoiler, both exceptionally rare options that you won't find on many, if any that survive.
Under her ownership the car was meticulously cared for, detailed in the pile of service receipts that come in the history file alongside two original handbooks, brochure, styling accessories guide and warranty booklets.
In the early 2000s the car passed to another lady owner, who maintained the upkeep until the body started to deteriorate during her ownership, and the car was parked up for a number of years before being acquired by the owner I purchased it from last year.
Whilst the car presents well from a distance and the interior is in superb condition, it has surface corrosion on the underside and a number of rust spots on the body, including on both doors, top edge of sills underneath both doors, around the sunroof mounting points and extensively around the boot lid and tailgate.
I wanted to help save this car from an unnecessary demise, so I set about rectifying all the main mechanical issues, resulting in a spend of over £900 to get it up to scratch and safely through an MOT, which it passed in late January 2023. This work included brake pipe repair and a system flush, a new thermostat and coolant flush, setup of the CO level, unblocking of the windscreen washer system and full tracking / wheel alignment. The car now starts on the first turn and drives really nicely.
As I have a variety of other projects that need completing the car deserves someone who can take it to the next stage of its life in getting the body back up to scratch.
Having covered just over 79, 000 miles, This Nissan Sunny Coupe is now offered for sale with a stack of history (including the original bill of sale), two original keys, sunroof cover and bag, tool bag, spare wheel and jack. I also have the original front fog lights which I removed to replace the bulbs. One fell apart as I was removing it but the other could be refitted. I do also have another pair of suitable fogs that I could sell with the car.
