Description
This is with absolute sadness and a lot of heart searching but Rosie our 1968 Californian is for sale. we sent it to Col Rooney way back in 2014 to get her ready for a wedding anniversary European tour and ended up getting a total rebuild. It is mostly standard Imp but with some modifications. The paint is not Imp but is a Talbot colour and is readily available (honey brown) admittedly its a bit of a marmite colour but its the colour it has had since the early 80's and white (original colour) seemed boring. It has a matching custom interior with Fiesta seats and headrests ( a concession to modern driving) It also has front disc brakes (also Fiesta) and halogen lamps (all very sensible as far as i'm concerned). The rest is mostly Imp with a standard 875 engine which hasn't been touched, it runs well and gets you there. There are going to be lots of questions which i will be happy to answer, it will come with a full MOT. It will also come with a whole selection of spare parts which will be a L4 engine, and other bits and pieces. The paint work isn't perfect any more and there is a little bit of sinkage on the drivers wing and the worst is the scuff on the drivers front wing, as said before paint is available I think i even have some. As said if interested please ask questions and come and have a look its the best way. It will be advertised elsewhere as after 6 months of pondering it will be sold. We bought the car about 15 years ago and had it restored in 2014 to take an anniversary trip across Europe and drive some alpine passes down to Italy, it was then used as a daily car but since we have both retired the car is being used less and less and rather it sit on the drive would rather someone else took it on and drove it as it should be
