This complete restoration process was a true labor of love and an ode to the golden era of off-roading!
This LJ70LV has been completely remade from scratch, a painstaking endeavor undertaken with the utmost care and precision. Every single component of this classic vehicle has been thoroughly inspected, consolidated, and restored to meet its original specifications. From the rugged chassis to the immaculate interior, no stone has been left unturned and the whole restoration process, that took two years.
The engine, has been thoroughly overhauled and fine-tuned to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The transmission, suspension, and braking systems have been revitalized, striking the perfect balance between preserving the original essence of the LJ70LV.
The color is a stunning tribute to the original color code of 1988 Toyotas. A local master artisan, who specialises exclusively in painting Classical Toyota vehicles, has applied the hue to the LJ70LV's body.
Meticulously restored to its original glory and beyond! This magnificent beast is now ready to grace the roads and trails once more, turning heads and conquering terrain with the same indomitable spirit that earned it its legendary status.
The car is reviewed by the Romanian government and established as an authentic retromobile. This rigorous process means that the vehicle respects the original model to every detail. The original chassis was imported from italy, it was rusty and needed reconditioning. We completely recovered the chassis imperfections before painting it (by a local master artisan, who specialises exclusively in painting Classical Toyota vehicles)
The chairs are completely remade with extra cushioning to be more comfortable. The design of the chairs are inspired by a hippy and fun era of Volkswagen T1 vans.
We added additional speakers to the front and back. These Focal speakers are used in modern BMW machines.
All stickers and markings are completely original, so are all spare parts. We searched only for the original Japanese mirrors for months, even though replica ones can be easily found.
