Description
Here we have my beloved 1972 MGB with very rare, period correct hardtop from Smith & Deakin. The car is also supplied with nearly-new mohair soft-top so you can interchange as desired with just a few bolts.
The car is rust-free having benefited from a previous bare-metal restoration and garaged dry storage. Beautiful Lucas SFT576 spotlights on front bumper. It starts first time, every time and the addition of the overdrive makes even motorway driving comfortable. The engine is smooth and powerful, with an uprated aluminium radiator and 7-blade fan to improve power and remove the risk of overheating that plagues cars of this vintage. The exhaust has also been uprated to the stainless steel sports exhaust, which gives a lovely, unobtrusive growl as she goes down the road and improves ground clearance.
The interior has a custom paint-matched dash and tan vinyl seats and detailing. There is a modern Pioneer SPH-10BT Smartphone Bluetooth stereo but the interior is otherwise tastefully restored.
The car was purchased from respected MG aficionado Nigel Guild of 'Former Glory' and is supplied with two keys and a folder of history and former owners. ULEZ, LEZ and Tax-free. A real head-turner and the most fun little car with the choice of roofs for year-round motoring practicality.
I will be sorry to see her go - I am only parting as we have a little one on the way and this is not the car for that.
The car is garaged at my family home in Melbourne, Derbyshire - 13, 500GBP or nearest offer.
