Rare doesn’t always mean desirable, but this particular combination is both. The now-iconic digital dash was not offered alongside the 2. 0 EFi engine for very long, but the result can be regarded as the best of all Maestro worlds.
First registered in February 1985, by Barretts of Canterbury, there is some history with the car, including a letter from the supplying dealer to the original owner. The previous owner restored the car, including a photographed full respray, and that shows as the car still presents very nicely.
Now at approximately 75, 000 miles, I’ve had the car for 6 years and whatever she has needed in that time has been done, including details like sourcing original trim to make it as factory standard as possible. She’s mechanically great and drives just as she should. Completely reliable, she easily keeps up with modern traffic.
The car isn’t quite perfect - there are some bubbles appearing under the paint (mainly around the rear wheel arches), and the dash takes a little while to warm up, after which it functions perfectly - but this is a great car to use as is or steadily improve over time.
Come and see it - you won't be disappointed!
