Hi, I brought this as my first full restoration. We have restored cars for clients for two decades and I have finally started my own restoration journey. I spent three years doing the car (the beautiful 71 rare grill version - the best grill they did) with help from our partner businesses with the intention of keeping it.
And this is the model with overdrive too which is so much fun when driving.
Now at the end I plan to do another one so need the space back.
I picture documented the whole journey.
So we have a full folder of everything that we spent plus previously service history etc.
We have removed all removable panels and had new pieces welded in to make the original panels as new. The bonnet was a big far gone so we sourced a rust free mint bonnet and painted that.
Jack points, A-pillars, wings, inner arches were all welded. (Pictures to show available).
A full glass out respray was carried out to a very high standard.
The paint was refinished and Gtechniq ceramic coated.
New full chip guarded fuel tank fitted with all new braided hoses.
Fully sound proofed with Skinz, heritage carpets made and fitted by us.
Audison speakers and retro sounds vintage look dab and Bluetooth stereo installed.
Seats all new padding and real vintage style leather used to make seat covers.
All main engine parts powder coated.
Engine hoses all changed, serviced and k&n mg branded double air boxes.
New oil cooler.
Some of the bright work around the glass is new.
New headliner, rear seats replaced too.
Wheels fully powder coated with new mg branded stainless steel bolts.
All arches and vehicle underside cleaned and sealed with gravitex as used by Hilton and moss and many other premium restoration companies.
Brand new Upgraded suspension on the rear and some tweaks to the fronts all done at the MG owners club in Swavesey along with timing and tuning once the engine was overhauled.
Two sets of keys.
Brand new battery 12v single battery conversion and power cut of switch inside car to protect the new battery.
All badges and spares come with it, after the full glass out weld and paint I preferred it without the badges but we have them all, and the original stereo and all other bits.
Spare hoses and bits will come with the car too. Easy to work in, beautiful, easy to drive, sounds great, takes up very little space.
