For sale is my 2000 Toyota MR2 Roadster 1. 8 (Mk3) finished in metallic Black with Red leather interior.
Its had 3 previous owners which is very low for one of these, has a years fresh MOT, lots of service history and 2 keys. V5 in my name present.
I have just spent money getting it through its an MOT, although it was only on usual MR2 bits, ie a new rear caliper and a full set of plugs including a new coil.
It now has an honest MOT with just a note for a tyre and chip in the windscreen.
I also had an oil filter and air filter change with fresh oil so its all in good working order.
The car starts and drives well, has a lot of poke for a small car, no engine lights up, clutch and gearbox are very precise.
The hood is in very good condition, no rips or tears and I've just cleaned all the drain holes / plugs as they are a common place to leak. Preventative but useful I think.
Interior is very nice, just some age related wear to the red leather but everything else is nice, even has the original Sony headunit!
The bodywork is in I would say good age related condition, its not a show queen its also far from bad. There are some age related marks, odd scratch, bird poo mark. The bonnet has some micro blistering/ stone chips. Headlights are clear but one is slight crazed - but it went through the MOT fine.
But there are NO rusty arches or doors, its overall a straight thing with no dents / dings or damage. I think im being overly critical but everyones idea of good is different. The pictures are reflective of the condition.
The wheels are in amazing condition having been recently refurbished, most Toyota wheels are flaky but these are good. 3 good tyres and one advisory on an MOT.
I took this in as part payment against my Boxster (private sale) I sold about 2 months and intended to just sell it on quickly but I've enjoyed it a lot more than I thought; in daily use infact! Its like a budget Elise!
That said, the original plan of selling the family Convertible still stays and summer is the best time to sell so this must go too.
Its a solid honest little convertible that is ready to use for very little money!

Having owned an MX5 before although less practical the MR2 is far more engaging to drive.
