2007 Mercedes Benz SLK 280 R171 - 6 speed manual
For SALE – my lovely manual SLK 280, due to loss of one of my parking spaces at home. Wonderful little drop top for summer with a hardtop roof for winter. Really punchy, torquey V6 petrol engine makes it surprisingly quick, and these handle far better than the original R170 SLK’s.

Excellent paintwork, with a couple of minor spots of bubbling. Alloys all very good but again some minor pitting/ bubbling on them.
Bridgestone Potenza M0 tyres all round with plenty of tread.
Previous owned by a garage owner with receipts to show work/ parts.
Drives wonderfully, engine is very smooth with lots of power
Gearbox smooth and changes precisely, lovely light clutch.
The gearbox transforms this car and it is a proper sporty drivers car compared to the automatics with their sluggish changes, and less reliable auto transmissions.
Surprisingly economical too with a long term avg of over 30mpg including lots of short journeys.
Bad Bits:
Main service history book lost by a previous owner, some bills available for recent work.
Slight bubbling (paint not broken) on one front wing, and a tiny spot on boot below badge.
Despite just spending £400 on a new compressor, the air con doesn’t always blow cold ( I think a switch inside the system needs fixing). If I can’t get this sorted in time for a sale, I will price slightly lower to compensate.
£3995 – viewings in Hitchin, HertsFast, frugal, pretty and fun to drive. These won't get any cheaper!
