BMW Z3 Sport 2. 2 Edition
I have recently had to upgrade to a much larger estate for work and travelling, therefore cannot afford to maintain and run both vehicles.
The vehicle is in pretty amazing condition considering its age. It has been amazing to drive in the summer with the roof down. I personally disconnected the hydraulic pump that engages the automatic roof as I found it quicker to put up and down myself.
This Z3 is in quite a unique specification. Finished in Estoril Blue which was found in the Z3M/ Coupé, it definitely stands out from the rest. Sitting on a set of Style 135 wheels on 225/ 45RA17 on the front and 245/ 40ZA17 on the rear.
Overall, the exterior of the car looks phenomenal. Being 21 years old, the estoril blue paint still shines. There is one small area located on the bonnet where the lacquer has come loose, creating a small bubble.
The style 135 wheels looks awesome on this car. I do not know if this was an optional extra or if they had been purchased for the car by a previous owner however, they look the part and really help the Estoril Blue paint pop.
The interior of this car is absolutely incredible. Being the 2. 2L Sport, this car rolled off the forecourt with all the bells and whistles including: heated and electric seats, electric windows and mirror, air conditioning, air circulation, and an electric soft top roof. As well as an option to disable traction and stability control. The previous owner also upgraded the stereo with a new Bluetooth Pioneer unit that has USB charging for devices. The vehicle is also equipped with an immobiliser and central locking, however, the central locking stopped working about 6 months ago. The car also comes with 2 keys.
The condition of the leather seats are immaculate and have been well preserved over the years. As well as having alcantara steering wheel, shifter and handbrake. The shift knob itself was upgraded to a heavy metal finish. The interior is finished with M Sport mats from factory. Lastly, the centre console has an optional brushed titanium finish which really compliments the overall look of the interior.
This particular Z3 comes with a 2. 2L straight 6 that pushed close to 200bhp when it rolled off the forecourt.
Mechanically, I have had no issues with this car since ownership. I have carried out general maintenance such as spark plugs, oil, and all filters across the car. As an enthusiast, it is my top priority to make sure my cars are running smoothly and are at tip top shape. Recently the car has started to pull slightly to the left, so an alignment will need to be carried out.
This car comes with an extensive service history from when it was first registered through to October 2017. This includes a stack of receipts. Since ownership. I have only carried out a general service to the car as I did not plan to drive it a lot of miles.
MOT is due for 09 August 2023 and will be renewed before a sale is agreed.
Since ownership, I have not taken the vehicle to any specialist dealers for servicing as I have serviced it myself. However, before ownership, the vehicle was taken to a dealership for regulatory servicing. This service history is shown in the handbook which is included with the car, as well as owners manual.
The vehicle has just achieved 100, 000 miles on the clock.
