NOW SOLD. This Citroen BX straight 1. 9 litre diesel is one of very few remaining, many others being the later turbo models introduced at the end of the model life. Bodywork is in extremely good condition for a 34 year old car with no corrosion. Engine runs well and car drives fine with everything working. Some minor repainting was carried out to cure surface deterioration due to bird fouling years ago. Last complete service was November 2022 by an older mechanic I know and trust.
Included in sale are replacement headlights, earlier wheel trims, a file of BX literature and LHM fluid although the car rarely needs it. Bought this as I wanted an uncomplicated diesel version with less to go wrong and because of the models renowned reliability. This was to prove itself as when we had an unreliable Saab the trusty old BX proved a salvation for necessary local journeys.
Unfortunately shortly after my covid vaccination I became seriously ill with polymyalgia which I am still being treated for. This together with old age has to a large extent taken the joy out of driving after over 60 years. Hence the reason for sale as I wish this trusty BX to go to someone who will enjoy driving it for more years.
