This is a rare opportunity to own a stunning, restored & Standard modern classic which is only going to go up in value now.
We brought this car in 2021 from a private seller who did not have the time to restore it, but he desperately wanted it to be saved, so we brought it, this was mainly because of the amount of history the car had, we have had the body work fully restored, details to follow:

Recent new engine metal coolant pipe fitted with genuine antifreeze used. Recent new cooling fan fitted. Timing & Auxiliary belts replaced at 166k in 2019. Recent gear linkage renewal, all gears select perfectly including reverse, no crunching or noises. Engine runs perfectly, with no leaks or smoking, coolant & oil all run at correct temperatures. The car truly drives without fault.
In my opinion you would struggle to find another MK3 GTI in this condition and with this amount of history etc. It is my wife’s car and we are both massive VW & Audi fans, if we had more space we would keep it for ever which was our initial plan, but we now have found another car which my wife has always wanted & unfortunately this car needs a new home to make space, we would ideally like it to go to a true VW enthusiast who is going to really care for it & keep it in great condition as we have and would continue too.
Notes: The car only has one key, I was planning on getting a spare cut & coded but have never got around to it. The suspension could do with a freshen up in my opinion, this was also on my “to do” list, the side skirts outer trim strips are a bit tired in my opinion, but fit correctly, again, I was going to replace them eventually (Both sides are still currently available from VW dealers) and the windscreen has a small crack in the lower left plenum chamber area (see picture) this is under the wiper and not in any view from inside the car & this is the reason this was the only window not removed during restoration as it is a genuine VW glass and I did not want to risk damaging it further, that is all the “Bad” bits that I can think require work if the new owner wished. As previously mentioned we brought the car from a private seller who had no time to restore, he did not want to sell it for scrap or parts, we decided to purchase it & restore it as it had such a good genuine history & had not been modified in any way, completely standard car with some nice factory & dealer fitted options. Our aim was to keep it for a very long time, we have spent a lot of time & money on this car which I know we will never get back. But unfortunately times change & we need to let this one go, hopefully to another true enthusiast who will give this Golf the care it deserves & be proud to own it, take it to shows & most importantly enjoy it, it genuinely is a proper head turner & gets so many looks when driving it as you just so not see them on the roads nowadays.
The next owner will be getting such a one off stunning example of this modern classic VW Golf GTI which is now becoming extremely rare.
